I have nearly finished my shopping list for all of my must have fall essentials and at the top of that list were these boots! I won't make you guess how much because you will never believe it: $20. I almost screamed out of happiness in the middle of the store. They are perfect for the transition into fall as is this outfit. This weekend was the first time it actually felt like fall in Florida. That usually means wearing a sweater or a long sleeve shirt without having a heat stroke! I love this color combo and mix of materials in this outfit. The polka dots in the button up add a playful mix that isn't too much on the eyes. I can't say enough amazing things about these boots... I am obsessed! They are the perfect color, the perfect height and so comfortable. Also, they are suede so they are easy to clean and get mud off of for those rainy days. I will literally wear these all the time this fall/winter. This entire outfit is less than $100... let me repeat that: THIS ENTIRE OUTFIT WAS LESS THAN $100! Hurry and shop fast!
The other day I was posed with the question "How do you afford your clothes?" At first I thought to myself that she was trying to insinuate that I don't make enough money to pay for my bills and my clothes (I do, in case you were wondering) but then it occurred to me that her question was brilliant! I kindly explained that I shop smart but I wanted to go in depth on my methods in a blog post because I figured she probably wasn't the only one who had that same question.
If you are an avid follower of this blog then you already realize that I shop at stores like Forever 21, H&M, The Limited, etc. The trick to shopping at these places is to search for the articles of clothing that are made with quality material and that don't look cheap. Yes there are tons to choose from in all of these stores but the key is to stay patient and to check their stock frequently! Occasionally I will splurge on an item (like my Louboutins) but usually I buy reasonably priced pieces of clothing that way I can have a large variety to choose from. Holiday sales are a great way to find expensive items for really cheap. I purchased a dress from Banana Republic for $15 that was originally $115 during their Labor Day sale. I also bought a pair of knee high boots and a pair of Steve Madden look alike wrap heels each for $20. Deals like that can't be beat. Keep asking questions like this as it gives me inspiration to share my shopping tricks!!

I am a college student in engineering and I love it, but my real passion is fashion. I am obsessed with all things neutral, all black clothing, expensive hand bags, and shoes with red bottoms.
