The other day I was posed with the question "How do you afford your clothes?" At first I thought to myself that she was trying to insinuate that I don't make enough money to pay for my bills and my clothes (I do, in case you were wondering) but then it occurred to me that her question was brilliant! I kindly explained that I shop smart but I wanted to go in depth on my methods in a blog post because I figured she probably wasn't the only one who had that same question.
If you are an avid follower of this blog then you already realize that I shop at stores like Forever 21, H&M, The Limited, etc. The trick to shopping at these places is to search for the articles of clothing that are made with quality material and that don't look cheap. Yes there are tons to choose from in all of these stores but the key is to stay patient and to check their stock frequently! Occasionally I will splurge on an item (like my Louboutins) but usually I buy reasonably priced pieces of clothing that way I can have a large variety to choose from. Holiday sales are a great way to find expensive items for really cheap. I purchased a dress from Banana Republic for $15 that was originally $115 during their Labor Day sale. I also bought a pair of knee high boots and a pair of Steve Madden look alike wrap heels each for $20. Deals like that can't be beat. Keep asking questions like this as it gives me inspiration to share my shopping tricks!!

I am a college student in engineering and I love it, but my real passion is fashion. I am obsessed with all things neutral, all black clothing, expensive hand bags, and shoes with red bottoms.
