A 70's Day Dream

Long flowy skirts, choker necklaces and straw bags are HOT right now and this outfit hits all of the marks! During this shoot in this gorgeous part of town we were walking along the shops and spotted this amazing VW bus. I giggled at how perfect it would be for the background of these pictures and hoped that the owner of the vehicle wasn't sleeping in the back of it LOL. 

Back on the subject of choker necklaces and straw bags... It always cracks me up when styles return and are bigger than they ever were. I remember in elementary school those jelly choker necklaces were all the rage. Straw bags were the same thing and now you cant find them for less than a hundred dollars in department stores! I however found this beauty for $10 at a Ross. H&M and Target are jumping on the bandwagon and are adding straw clutches and bags to their inventory... shop them while you can!

I am so excited for summer and all of the wonderful adventures I will be going on! I will be traveling to New Orleans in a few weeks for my birthday and we are going to the Wine and Food Festival on Bourbon Street! This skirt would fit in perfectly in that atmosphere.

I know I've mentioned this probably a thousand times but occasional dressing is so important to me. I feel like not dressing for the occasion (even if its just sunflower picking) is like showing up to a costume party not in costume. ​
